To build on and continue their growth in the railway infrastructure market, they have a requirement for a Head of Infrastructure. Reporting to the COO, your primary mission will be to lead the Infrastructure Business Sector as a successful division of the company, grow its market presence, client base, order book and services portfolio.


This role will also be responsible for leading the Infrastructure Assurance and Consultancy service areas as a successful business service: overseeing delivery of the business plan, growing its market presence, client base, order book and services portfolio. You will provide technical expertise in Infrastructure Assurance and Consultancy projects and will oversee the wellbeing of all members of the Infrastructure team, including line management responsibility the engineers.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Delivery of the Sector’s Business Plan in terms of sales/revenue.

Business development, with the assistance of the marketing/business development function and Service Leads, to achieve the planned growth of the Sector.

Creation and ownership of the Infrastructure Assurance and Consultancy Business Plan.

Leadership and development of the Infrastructure Assurance and Consultancy team.


Essential Skill and Knowledge

Substantial technical experience of one or more infrastructure engineering specialisms and of working in an engineering consulting environment.

Proven success in client relationships, project management and business management.

A wide appreciation of all railway infrastructure disciplines and competencies.

Ability to devise, develop and implement efficient an effective Business Plans.

Proven experience of effective performance management.

A leader able to bring the best out of those working in the Sector.

Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and to deadlines, using a logical and methodical approach.

Able to provide leadership in client relationships on behalf of team members.

Aptitude in presenting the skills and advantages of the organisation to prospective clients.

A visible profile and a well-known reputation within the wider rail industry and community.

Position:  Graduate CAD Engineer

Location:  Derby, Derbyshire

Position:  Business Development Executive

Location:  Castle Donington, Derbyshire

The Role:

With a strong brand, no lead is a 'cold' lead. You will be working closely with their marketing team, following up on campaigns to generate appointments for our Business Development team to bring to fruition.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of creating new business opportunities and generating appointments with senior decision makers.


Responsibilities will include:

This is an office-based role within a forward thinking and rapidly expanding team and the main tasks and duties of the role will be:

Researching and identifying appropriate new business opportunities

Cold calling and generating meetings with agreed targets

Updating the CRM system with all activities and monitoring the sales pipeline
